Michel Bras, Bras

Michel Bras (Gabriac, November 4, 1946) is a French chef. Her cooking style is described as creative often associated with her use of fresh herbs and edible flowers. He has also created the recipe for a famous chocolate coulant cookie. He and his son run a restaurant and hotel in Laguiole, in the Aveyron department. Michel Bras learned to cook from his mother who taught him how to prepare the aligot dish with the mastery of classical times. At the beginning of the 1990s, he was visited by Ferrán Adriá and some of his fellow restaurateurs at El Bulli and seems to have been an influence of the Spanish chef. His restaurant was voted seventh on the list of best restaurants in the world, a list maintained by the Restaurant (magazine) Top 50 in 2008. He resigned his three Michelin stars in September 2017 and did not appear in the edition of 2018.
