Abraham García, Viridiana

Abraham García Cano, better known as Abraham García, is a Spanish cook and writer born in 1950 in Robledillo, in the Montes de Toledo region. At thirteen he emigrated to Madrid, where he worked in the hotels and restaurants of the time, starting as a dishwasher. He has been a columnist for the newspaper El mundo and is responsible for the Cocina de Hunting program broadcast on Canal Cocina, and has won, among others, the Metropolis award for the best restaurant in Madrid in 2013, the Award for Tourism Merit of the City of Madrid in 20115 And the Madrid Chamber of Commerce award for professional career, awarded in the framework of the Madrid Fusión 2011 contest. In 2017, he was awarded the Kitchen Award in the second edition of the awards given by the Madrid Academy of Gastronomy. In 2018 he was awarded the Community of Madrid Culture Prize.
